Ambidextrous bowler taking wickets

While ambidextrous cricketers are relatively rare, there is indeed an interesting record involving ambidextrous wicket-taking in first-class cricket. This unique feat was achieved by Indian cricketer Akshay Karnewar during a Ranji Trophy match in 2018.

Akshay Karnewar is known for his ambidextrous bowling abilities, which means he can bowl both left-handed and right-handed. During a match between Vidarbha and Rest of India, he bowled with his left hand to left-handed batsmen and with his right hand to right-handed batsmen.

What's particularly remarkable is that he took wickets with both his left and right-arm deliveries in the same innings. This display of ambidextrous skill in first-class cricket caught the attention of cricket enthusiasts and highlighted his versatility as a bowler.

He also once took bowled four maidens in four overs in a T20 match taking 2 wickets and bagged a hat-trick the very next day!

It's a testament to the fact that cricket occasionally witnesses truly unique and exceptional talents.
